stacked hard into a boulder coming down from a pass (just above Star Lake, and about 2000ft above Lake Tahoe) on the Rim Trail tonight around 8:30 pm. headlamp on, bouncing downhill on the fully rigid rig after a 10 mile climb - just washed out in the very loose decomposed granite trail. finished the ride, but it wasn't fun. riding lately hasn't been fun . . . probably shouldn't admit it on this blog - but maybe i really miss my riding buddies. riding alone in the dark just isn't all that fun.
in other news - i think my single speed is trying to kill me. and i made 2 awesome tables at work this week. and i've been growing a beard.
needless to say, i am NOT looking forward to the Tahoe-Sierra 100 in a few weeks. not feeling too strong on the bike, and the training regiment of, well, basically not training, going climbing and drinking beer doesn't seem to be paying off.
